The Board of Directors of the Harden Foundation offer the Harden Home, patio, and garden areas to eligible organizations to use for various meetings, retreats, or special events. To be eligible to use the facilities, an organization must be a recipient of a grant from the Harden Foundation.

The Harden Home, built by Duncan McKinnon in 1881, was the center of the Home Ranch and the focus of many friendly gatherings throughout the Harden’s lives in Salinas. Today it serves as headquarters for the Harden Foundation. Located on the estate is the Harden Foundation office, the Harden home and patio, and the historic gristmill. The well maintained and preserved buildings serve to continue the tradition of promoting friendly gatherings and meetings of organizations that have benefited from their legacy. The estate is located on 5.2 acres in the north Salinas area.

If your organization would like more information or is interested in using the Harden home or patio, please request an application packet by telephoning the Foundation office at (831) 442-3005 or by contacting the Harden Foundation in writing at P.O. Box 779, Salinas, CA 93902.
